Vibroacoustic Analysis

LaFontaine Engineering provides specialized expertise in launch-vehicle and satellite vibroacoustic environments, supporting the prediction, characterization, and verification of dynamic loads driven by liftoff acoustics and aerodynamically induced vibration. Our analyses integrate high-fidelity simulation with test and flight data to produce defensible environments suitable for design, qualification, and certification.

Our services include:

  • FEM-based patch vibroacoustic methods for spatially varying acoustic and aerodynamic excitation of complex structures

  • Mass Acceleration Curves (MACs) for dynamic-load development, requirements definition, and component qualification

  • Vibration environment derivation and test support, including sine, random, and acoustic test definition and correlation

  • Forcing-function development from analytical models, wind-tunnel data, and flight measurements

  • Ground-test and flight-data processing, including spectral analysis, environment validation, and model correlation
